oil and acrylic on wood panel

Originally a part of my 2024 solo show "Afterglow" at Corey Helford Gallery, a show about endangered species. "Last Howl" features a family of red wolves. There are currently only 22-28 individual red wolves remaining in the wild and they all live in North Carolina. This piece is a love letter to what is most likely a soon-to-be- extinct species.

This piece features:

- a red wolf family

- a bald eagle family

- a possum with her babies

- a male and female cardinal

- a grey squirrel

- various butterfly species native to North Carolina
