Sometimes you have to slay some monsters (men) to keep your peace. This piece is based off of a therapy exercise my therapist had me do years ago where you imagine a peaceful place and you have a guardian show up. My guardian usually took the form of a lion. I think the lion represents the part of myself that always fights to keep me safe, even if it's hard.
Send this one to your homegirl going through a breakup. Or buy it for yourself to remind yourself that you're better off without that loser.
